Join us for the Annual Veterans Day Celebration in Denver on November 10, 2012.

Bring your family and friends downtown to celebrate Denver's largest Veterans Day event yet! From a 5k to a parade to a remembrance ceremony to a festive celebration at Civic Center Park and an amazing fireworks display on Auraria Campus, there will be food, entertainment and giveaways for the whole family to enjoy throughout the day.

Morning, noon or night there will be something festive you can do to show your support for our veterans! In honor of this celebration, there will be free parking in exchange for a canned food donation in designated areas.

Denver Veterans 5k, Auraria Campus at 8 a.m.

Veterans Day Parade, Pepsi Center to Civic Center Park via 14th St. at 10 a.m.

Celebrate veterans during the Denver Veterans Day Parade. The parade will feature military units, vintage cars, marching bands, floats and much more. Immediately following the parade will be a festival with live music and food trucks at Civic Center Park.

Fallen Heroes Honor Roll Reading, Colorado Veterans Monument at 14th and Lincoln at 11:30 a.m.

Honor the fallen at this very special remembrance ceremony. There will be an Honor Roll Reading of Colorado’s Fallen War Heroes from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Denver Veterans Day Celebration, Auraria Campus, 3 – 7 p.m.

Enjoy live music, delicious food, fun, and FIREWORKS at this celebration. There will be a presentation of colors, national anthem and flyover around 5 p.m. From there, watch the sun go down, while enjoying music provided by KYGO, a special performance by Reveille3, and the VFW Post 1 Forgotten Heroes and Remembering the Fallen Presentations. The day culminates with an amazing fireworks display that begins around 6:30 p.m.

Free parking will be available in exchange for a canned food donation at any of these parking lots. Look for the blue signs that say "Veterans Day Celebration" parking. Canned food donations will be donated to a local veterans organization.
