Pension Claims

Veterans who served during a declared war-time period, have a minimum of 90 days of active duty*, and have other than a dishonorable discharge may qualify for a VA pension. If the veteran is 65-years-of-age or older and has an income under the current pension amount or if the veteran has been certified by a physician as unable to continue employment due to his or her medical condition, a pension may be awarded.

* for service after September 8, 1980, veterans must have 24 continuous months of active duty to qualify for benefits
